This isn’t our first time in Dubai, and we always try to visit something new. This time, we decided to go to the Aura Skypool. We wanted to buy tickets in Moscow, as we have friends with Tajik cards, but they couldn’t pay for them. So we decided to take a chance and go anyway. We rented a car and went to buy tickets on the spot, but we were unlucky again (they don’t work every evening, and on that day they were closed and told us to come back tomorrow). We had to go back the next day to buy tickets.
We tracked the tickets on the official website. In the end, when we arrived, only ‘Sofas for 4’ were left. The price was 300 dirhams (6900 roubles) per person. But, as they say, everything happens for the best, because on that day it was a little cold and windy (although I don’t know if it’s always windy there, it is the 50th floor after all), and on our side it was calm (but that’s the most uninteresting view – of Burj Al Arab).
And just where the best view was – the Palm and the Marina – there was a terrible wind, which made it completely unpleasant to be in the water, so everyone sat on their sun loungers, wrapped in towels. Also, all our places were in one line, i.e. the first. And on the other sides there are 2-3 lines. We had an evening session, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. We were a little late because we were parking the car, but it was no big deal. We were greeted, told where everything was (toilets, showers, changing rooms, luggage storage down the stairs), then shown to our spot and given towels. My friend and I were also given a beach bag and a cosmetics bag with the Aura Skypool logo – a small thing, but nice)
Later, a waiter approached us and brought the menu.
View of the Palm: The space is divided into 4 zones, but you can move around everywhere. Here is the neighbouring side
It’s generally enjoyable to lie on these loungers and admire the views, although time passes quickly. The water in the pool is cool, and when there is wind, it is quite unpleasant. So we couldn’t stay there for long and left early.
Overall, to sum up, we basically liked it and had an interesting time, but we got cold. Maybe it would be better during the day, as it’s hot outside and the water is cool. I don’t even know if I would go there a second time.
And finally, I’ll tell you about another option for booking in advance.
But we couldn’t use it because we had to start a little earlier))). This is a booking by email. But you need to start writing to them in advance, as they don’t respond immediately and it can take several days. After some correspondence, they will be able to book your places, but you will have to go to the pool two days before your arrival in Dubai and pay for them. That’s it!
